Dan Newman has been designing and facilitating solutions for over 20 years. Prior to this work, Dan was a strategy partner at Ernst & Young, and he brings his vast expertise in driving strategy to his engagements.
Erica was born in Vicenza, in 1988. She graduated in Modern and Contemporary Art and Literature from the University of Verona and, after working in various arts and cultural organizations in Europe, she moved to Rome to study Economics and Management of Art and Cultural Heritage at the Sole 24 Ore Business School. Together with Matter she helps people to listen to each other, collaborate and find innovate solutions together. She loves art, novels, dogs, apple pie, weekend trips, long walks and shoes.
Martina was born in Norcia in 1989. After she finished her high-school studies she moved to Perugia to study Job Creation Oriented Biotechnology an international degree. She is currently based in Rome and she works as accountant. She loves her job and she loves travel, food, sing and meet new people too.
Jodi Engelberg came to this work through her experience as a healthcare executive when Vanderbilt Medical Center built a dedicated think tank to drive healthcare reform. She has designed hundreds of engagements across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the U.S. She enjoys deconstructing complexity and helping multi-stakeholders reach decisions.
Svenja Rüger joined the Matter Group in mid 2013. She has driven change using our collaborative methods for more than 10 years. Before that she was a consultant at Ernst & Young and Capgemini. She is currently the President of our social business, The Value Web. She believes in servant leadership and that facilitation is all about making it easy.
Alfredo, born in 1975 in Bruxelles, is a designer of collaborative processes and a graphic facilitator. He has translated his interest in design and interaction between human beings into his profession. He’s the founding partner of Housatonic Design Network and since 2011 partner of Matter Group.
Hilde Rydning and Andor Gregorics, launched Minds On in Oslo in 2003. Hilde first mastered the collaborative methods as a strategy and transformation consultant with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Andor has been working with group dynamics and organizational development since the late 1980s. Both Hilde and Andor are Certified Professional Facilitators with the International Association of Facilitators. After a decade of frequent, successful collaboration, Minds On and Matter decided to formally join forces in 2012.

Ilaria was born in Rome in 1996 and she has a Master’s Degree in Art History. She has been involved with educational school projects based on the Model United Nations, simulations of the UN commissions. She dedicated herself to volunteering for several years, through the development of cultural projects in a suburb of Rome. Languages spoken: Italian, English.
Maja Arsic was born in Belgrade in 1982. Her first experience with the design and facilitation of collaborative work was 15 years ago in the Learning & Innovation Center in Italy. During her ample career in a global corporation, she gained extensive knowledge of business, human resources, and marketing. She lived and worked in many European countries, becoming native in several languages. Maja is passionate about learning, transformational leadership, and personal growth.
Alyssa Erspamer was born in New York City to two Italian parents and grew up in the Boston area. She completed her studies in the UK, with a BA in European Studies from UCL and an MA in Visual Anthropology from the University of Manchester. She has always been drawn to the beauty of Rome and started working freelance with Matter as a knowledge worker in 2019 before being hired full-time in 2021. She works mostly with content analysis and writing. She loves reading, film-making, the mountains, and politics.Languages spoken: Italian, English, Spanish, German and French
Born in Sardinia in 1987, Eliana has always had a strong inclination towards languages which led her to obtain a Master of Arts in Translation and Interpreting. For over 10 years she has worked in the humanitarian sector gaining expertise in several areas such as development cooperation, project management and training. This experience has given her the possibility of living in a number of European and African countries, plunging in extremely different places and cultures.
