Context
After over two years of collaboration with multiple divisions of an important international organization, the Office of Innovation engaged Matter to rethink how projects are managed, with a specific focus on unlocking initiatives that had been stalled over time. To address this challenge, the Acceleration Zone was launched in April 2024 as an in-house collaborative space designed to rethink decision-making, accelerate execution, and enable a more dynamic and innovation-driven approach to project delivery.
Approach
- Design and creation of a dedicated space for rapid collaboration, experimentation, and decision-making.
- Enable cross-functional teams to co-develop, test, and implement solutions in real time on active projects.
- Unblocking critical initiatives by addressing bottlenecks and accelerating key decisions.
- In-house capacity building to manage the space.
Results
- Previously stalled projects unlocked and moved forward with renewed speed and clarity.
- Faster and more effective decision-making across teams and initiatives.
- Increased cross-functional collaboration and stronger integration across teams.
- Adoption of more agile, experimental, and execution-focused ways of working.
